Company: Kabinet Mate
Background: The founders of the company had developed the product
but could not source production or find the right distribution
channels.
Situation: BHR Global was engaged to find sources for
the product. After visiting the New York Summer Gift
Show, the BHR team used their network of partners and,
through an existing sourcing partner, developed a new
source for the basket portion.
After developing tooling and finding other required
sources, BHR Global presented the product to their associates
at QVC. After making suggestions concerning what was
needed to be successful at QVC, The BHR staff helped
the Kabinet Mate team to rework the product and produced
a display for the buyer. After completing the buyer-suggested
changes, the product was accepted by QVC. Kabinet Mate
received a robust purchase order and the product made
it on air February 9, 2010.
Outcome: The product sold over 90% of the inventory
at QVC and is working for a second order. The BHR team
has also helped them parlay their success at QVC and
take the product to other retailers.
